It
is quite feasible when you are working on the periphery of the legislative
bodies to comply with the law but still remain unsafe, strange but true.
Certain cars
can tow up to 3,500kg and a trailer up to 23' (7m)long and 13'(4m)
high. If the trailer being larger and heavier, than the towing vehicle,
the towing vehicle is unable to resist the wind load, and can become unstable.
Also the inertial stored in the trailer rushes forward applying pressure
to the towing hitch and lifting the steering wheels of the tow car.
Therefore it is legal but unsafe.
VOSA are working on
closing these loop holes but until they can, be aware that compliance
with the laws of physics will keep your unit upright, and give it a
better chance of actually turning up to its designated venue.
