Drawbar Trailer
The Vipex Venue is a trailer which couples to a vehicle via its rear most point in much the same way as a Caravan. There is a bar connecting the coupling to the trailer and so the whole thing is called a “Draw Bar” trailer. There are two types of axle configuration and they are close coupled (usually in the center of the trailer) and turn-table steer, which, as the name suggests, puts the axles at the extreme front and rear of the trailer. The close coupled configuration is used for very light trailers or where the towing vehicle is very heavy, and the turntable steer configuration is for medium use or where the towing vehicle is quite light as it supports itself on its own axles.
