A loophole of the law brought the mini artic into existence – this loophole allows anyone with a normal car license to drive articulated semi-trailers under certain weight. Mini artics, or lightweight articulated semi-trailers to give them their proper name, are designed to carry volume, but not weight and weigh very little when unladen.

The mini artic is ideal for customers who need to transport high volume lightweight goods – for example tyres, or feathers for use in bedding. They are also good for use as display units, when there is no product that needs to be transported, but instead an effective display space for use at exhibitions and other large scale events is needed.
